The Singapore Certified Energy Manager supports the Energy Conservation Act as the interface between the company and National Environment Agency (NEA).
The Energy Conservation Act mandates energy efficiency requirements and energy management practices to promote energy conservation, improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact, and to make consequential and related amendments to certain other written laws.

Course Objective
The SEAS Singapore Certified Energy Manager programme seeks to help engineering professionals accelerate in their career by giving them extra insight and training in energy engineering as well as management.
A competent energy professional has to be equipped and qualified to perform technical and managerial functions in the areas of:
Energy audits, management and measurements
Energy retrofitting services
Financial advisor for energy efficiency measures and contracting
Consultation and procurement services
Facility and energy management
Energy engineering works
Each individual undertakes 4 core modules and 2 elective modules, pass the respective examinations and acquire relevant working experience to qualify for the Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification. The course will also incorporate both classroom-style learning as well as hands-on exercises.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification from the SEAS.

2 years working experience, ideally in energy or energy efficiency
A recognized engineering degree by SCEM registry
