Stanislav Borisov

Innovation Manager

Stanislav is the Innovation Manager at EcoLabs – Centre of Innovation for Energy which is an international energy industry professional with 10 years of experience.

At EcoLabs he originates new partnerships and projects, facilitates market entry programs for international start-ups and organises pitching sessions for investors. Stanislav has volunteered as a judge at a number of challenges, mentored dozens of local and overseas start-ups and organised over 20 pitching sessions.

Prior to that he worked in Project Management roles in France, Moscow and Siberia, managing multimillion energy projects and teams of up to 70 engineers. Stanislav holds MBA degree from National University of Singapore and Master’s Degree in Operations Management of Power Plants from Siberian Federal University.

 

 


 

Charles Cole Navarro

Coy works for ADB Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund housed with the Asian Development Bank.

He has over 10 years of experience working in the business acceleration and investment side of the clean technology space. On a personal basis, Coy has founded two e-mobility startups and is an angel investor in two education technology companies in the Philippines. 

 

 

 


Stanley Ng

Program Director - Southeast Asia

New Energy Nexus Asia

Stanley is the Program Director for New Energy Nexus in Southeast Asia and is currently working on building the energy startup ecosystems in the region. He works with universities, companies, and the civil society to support budding entrepreneurs in enabling the transition to a clean energy economy. 

Armed with digital technology and energy innovation background, he has experience in renewables, cleantech startups, digital media, and IT advisory. He is also an advocate of innovation the role of entrepreneurship in the energy transition. 

Stanley is a native of New York City and has spent the last 12 years working in energy startups and digital technology companies both in the United States and the Asia Pacific region. 

 

 


Min Chan Win

Country Coordinator

Min is the founder & owner of Myanmar Eco Solutions, a renewable technology focus project development & EPC based in Yangon, Myanmar. Starting from rural energy access BOP business models, the company now facilitates & represents various stakeholders in the RE-EE value chain. By forming strategic partnerships, MES is actively developing utility and commercial scale sustainable energy projects across Myanmar.

Min is a project development professional with expertise in project implementation, coordination, and evaluation with a particular focus on sustainable energy deployment and access. Working in renewables since 2012, he has facilitated between international companies and local stakeholders, which includes government ministries and regional authorities with a RE focus development projects across Myanmar. With fluency in both written and spoken English, he understands the fundamentals of good energy policy, a balance between energy security and sustainable environmental protection as well as the socio-economic dynamics behind it. His case studies on sustainable management of power systems and RES integration on island and isolated mini grids has served him as the groundwork of his master’s thesis as well as his continuing mission to be the best sustainable energy solution provider in Myanmar.

 

 


Edward Tay

Chief Executive Officer

Edward Tay is the Chief Executive Officer for Sistema Asia Capital, a registered fund management company with Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Prior to his current role, he has served senior appointments in technology giants such as IBM, British Telecom, Keppel T&T. Avid angel investor since 2000 and presently served as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Economics, Beijing University and is also a project mentor at the SMU, SEAS, NTU and ACE.

Co-founder of Asia Sustainability Forum (ASF) that aims to create awareness and supports initiatives towards shared vision of sustainability. Edward is also a co-opt Exco in SG Tech Singapore Enterprise Chapter 2020/21. He has also been appointed as the co-chairman for Huawei Sparks Advisory Council Asia Pacific and an advisor for SDTA (Singapore Deep Tech Alliance).

His is a believer of giving back to the society, Edward does volunteer work in Singapore Red Cross, public libraries, Singapore Children Society and Fellow in Singapore Social Enterprise Centre. 

 

 


Gautam Handa

Gautam Handa is a coach associated with PFAN and is active in the sustainability space. He has more than 18 years of experience in investment banking with ABN AMRO, Kotak Mahindra and Edelweiss and has worked on several M&A, private equity and IPO transactions.

Based out of Mumbai (India) and The Hague (Netherlands), he is the co-founder of Asialink Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A and fundraising for corporates.

Gautam was also earlier Head of Corporate Development at Fourth Partner Energy, a leading distributed solar company in India where he was responsible for risk management and corporate finance and helped raise funds from OikoCredit, ResponsAbility AG, SBI, TPG Rise Fund. Gautam also represented Fourth Partner Energy at AFCEF where they were adjudged winners in 2017.

 

 


John Lee

John has more than 23 years of experience in the infrastructure projects advisory and he has led and managed infrastructure advisory projects in Europe and Asia including (Bangladesh, China mainland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.

In Asia, John has worked with both government agencies and private sector clients (including financial institutions and private equity funds) in developing solutions in the sustainable infrastructure sectors including renewable energy (including biomass, hydro, solar, wind, MSW), water solutions (including municipal water supply, waste-water treatment, and sea water desalination), energy efficiency projects (including district cooling, data centers, clean energy transitions).

His areas of specialty include mergers & acquisitions (sell-side and buy-side), project financing (including credit enhancements eg EPRG and import-export credit facilities), economic analysis, commercial structuring (including public-private partnerships), financial analysis, conducting government tenders, and independent valuations

Prior to his current role, John was a senior partner of a Global Big 4 accounting & advisory firm.

 

 


Hogun Min

Innovation Manager

EcoLabs - Centre of Innovation for Energy

Hogun is the Innovation Manager at EcoLabs – Centre of Innovation for Energy which is creating and managing the investors and corporates pipeline as well as engaging in partnership with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes.

He plans and executes the accelerator and co-innovation program and scouts emerging start-ups through rigid screening and due-diligence processes. He supports overall start-ups ecosystem by technological capability building in SMEs and start-ups and coordinating investment opportunities.

He has developed and managed global energy projects for over 12 years. In Samsung Heavy Industries, he has successfully developed FLNG projects with cost technology improvements and completed project finance procurement for the wind energy project.

He received his MBA degrees from National University of Singapore and Peking University respectively and Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from Korea Aerospace University.

 

 


 

Utpal Bhattacharjee

Utpal Bhattacharjee's expertise expanded in many areas of Energy, Energy Policy & Advocacy, Data Analytics, Climate Change Mitigation, Climate Finance, Project Finance, Green House Gas (GHG) Inventory, Sustainable Development and Public-Private Partnership (PPP). He played an instrumental role for the development of Bangladesh National Green House Gas inventory & GHG Mitigation model under the third national communication to UNFCCC for the Department of Environment. He was involved in the development of country’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution and Nationally Determined Contribution of Bangladesh. He worked in CDKN funded scoping study to mobilize private investment for the implementation of Bangladesh NDC especially in the energy sector. 

Apart from my analytical assessment support to Government, Private Sector and Donor agencies, he have extensive expertise for the capacity development of Government/Private agencies in the field of GHG inventory, GHG mitigation analysis, renewable energy and sustainable development.

He also worked as capacity development specialist in the UNDP funded SREPGen project and assisted Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) to develop their capacities in the field of policy formulation, due-diligence on projects and conducting research and investment assessment activities in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
