Solar Power Finance & Investment

Introduction

Power plants generating energy from renewable resources, and in particular solar power, are an increasingly important investment opportunity in Asia. Even in difficult markets, solar projects have benefited from increasing demand for power, industry restructuring considerations, component pricing trends, utility commitment to adding renewable to the resource mix, and the regulatory environment.

This one day course will discuss approaches to developing solar projects, to ensure these projects are soundly structured and 'blankable'. Renewables financing will be compared to more conventional thermal based power deals. Instructors have extensive experience financing thermal and renewable power projects in Asia and globally, and will share the practitioners' perspectives with participants.
