The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in more ways than one and will be remembered as a watershed event which will shape our lives and businesses going forward. As many organisations are reopening, I would like to send my best wishes and support to the business communities in Singapore and around the world.
As an association, it is very crucial for us to understand the issues and challenges our members and their businesses are currently facing in this situation. Thus, we endeavour to bring you focused information through this COVID centre that we have set up as a tab on SEAS website. I would encourage you to refer to this, as we will be refreshing it regularly with resources and updates during this time.
On behalf of SEAS, I would like to say a big thank you to all our members for taking the time to complete our COVID-19 Survey. This helps us to dialogue with the government agencies and shape our programs better. As part of our ongoing commitment to engage the sustainable energy community in Singapore, SEAS also launched a series of short video interviews with SEAS members to facilitate sharing of sustainable energy related knowledge and insights about trends during the pandemic and beyond. Do keep a lookout for it on our website.
For the first time, the Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) will be held as a Hybrid Conference & Digital Expo. This is a new experience for SEAS and we hope to get the same support as we have for the previous years. After careful consideration, we have also decided to host our 3rd annual PowerACE start-up competition virtually. With this virtual format, PowerACE will bring our participants all the elements from the live experience on a digital platform and reach a global audience of industry professionals and hope that with this new format, PowerACE can empower energy start-ups to create more meaningful collaborations and opportunities to help scale businesses during these challenging times.
Now more than ever it is the time for us to come together as a SEAS community and support each other. If you have any concerns, ideas, inputs please do feel free to reach out to me and the SEAS team by writing an email to us at admin@seas.org.sg.
