Bernard Nee is the Deputy Chief Executive, Energy Market Authority (EMA). In his current roles, Bernard oversees the Energy Planning and Development Division.
Since 2012, he has been responsible for growing Singapore's energy ecosystem. His team catalyse innovation in policies and R&D, prepares a future-ready power sector workforce, and advances Singapore's energy thought leadership through flagship events such as the Singapore International Energy Week. Bernard leads a new National Energy Transformation Office that coordinates whole-of-government energy R&D and enabling policies.
Prior to EMA, Bernard spent 18 years at the Singapore Economic Development Board in senior management roles such as the Chief Information Officer and Executive Director for New Technologies.
A recipient of a Singapore Government scholarship, Bernard received his MSc in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Charles invests in startups from ASEAN, MENA, South and East Asia, and East Africa.
At EcoLabs he is in charge of executing EcoLab's greater venture capital strategy, which includes sourcing investment opportunities, managing portfolio companies, and driving co-innovation within privately managed funds.
As Managing Director of the Oman Technology Fund in MENA, a USD 150mm venture capital fund, he assisted in the capital raise of the fund, participated as a fund-of-funds investor, and as a direct investor to start-ups. As Investment Director of Red Dot Ventures in ASEAN, a USD 20mm venture capital fund, he worked alongside governments and participated as a direct investor.
Peter du Pont, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter du Pont is based in Bangkok and has more than 30 years' experience developing sustainable energy and climate programs in the U.S. and Asia. He has carried out assignments related to the design, implementation, and evaluation of clean energy policy and plans, energy and climate finance, and climate change programs.
He was worked in a variety of roles consulting and managing non-profit and private consultancies in development agencies, with a focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy, finance and market incentives, and climate change. He manages an international consultancy, Asia Clean Energy Partners, which provides services and solutions for clients in the development and business sectors.
In his roles as Asia Regional Coordinator for PFAN, he works with the country coordinators across 12 different countries to support the development of a pipeline of quality, bankable clean energy projects through effective mentoring and networking, while also building strong linkages with debt and equity investors seeking opportunities across the region.
Dr du Pont has a master's degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkely, and a Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware.
