SME Energy Efficiency Pilot Programme for Consultants/Auditors

Introduction

Energy Efficiency is a way of managing the amount of energy used in producing a certain amount of output. The aim is to achieve more output with the same (or less) input. Energy accounts for up to a significant 40% of operating costs across all manufacturing SMEs in Singapore. First announced on the 28th of October 2014 during President Tony Tan’s visit to the UK (Source: The UK Government’s website), SEAS (Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore) has teamed up with the Carbon Trust (UK) to roll out a Pilot Programme targeting SMEs in the food manufacturing sector with the main aim of helping the targeted SMEs to achieve at least 10% savings in energy costs.

Conducted by the Carbon Trust, who have expertise in helping more than 35,000 SMEs in the UK to date, this course will allow you to:

  • Identify the key areas of SMEs' operations that are sometimes missed out during an Energy Audit.
  • Understand the Capability and Development Grant (CDG) requirements for an Energy Efficiency (EE) Project.
