Energy efficiency is a vital cornerstone to reach global climate change goals. The aim is to minimise the amount of energy required to retain or improve the output. Energy efficiency not only brings forward the reduced impact to our climate, but also positive gain for businesses in the long term such as reduced operating costs, improved operational reliability and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Kim Dek has 10 years of experience in the sustainable energy industry focusing on energy efficiency and renewable energy. He leads the business developmentfor SDCL in South East Asia with a prime focus in Singapore.
Prior to joining SDCL, Kim Dek has carried out energy audits, developed and evaluated energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in the Southeast Asia region while working at Asia Carbon, one of the accredited energy services company. He has worked at the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), a non-profit industry association supporting the national SME Energy Efficiency Programme and helping Singapore companies explore partnerships and opportunities in Singapore and the region. Kim Dek graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering majoring in Renewable Energy and is a Singapore Certified Energy Manager.
