Funding Schemes 


Course Fee Funding (with effect from 1 October 2015) 

If you are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR), you can enjoy a 70-90% course fee subsidies on all WSQ courses at SEAS. You will only need to pay the net fee (course fee after SSG’s grant). 


Type of Course

*PME-level Courses 

Up to 70% of course fees 

*Professional, Managers and Executives (PMEs) refer to workers who (a) Have a highest education qualification of a Diploma and above; and/or (b) Have been employed and have had work experience in a PME job. 


SkillsFuture Credit 

Introduced in 2015, Singaporeans aged 25 years and above who received their SkillsFuture Credit account activation letter will be eligible for an initial credit of $500 which can be used to pay for all WSQ courses at SEAS. The credits can be used on top of existing course fee funding. 
To further encourage Singaporeans to take timely action to reskill and upskill to seize opportunities in the future economy, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above as at 31 December 2020. 

From 1 October 2020, this top-up can be used on all SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses, and will expire on 31 Dec 2025. 
To improve individuals’ access to career transition programmes, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen (SC) aged 40 to 60 (inclusive) as at 31 December 2020. This will be over and above the $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up for SCs aged 25 and above as at 31 December 2020. 

From 1 October 2020, eligible individuals can use the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) on (i) SGUnited Skills Programme, (ii) SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training, and (iii) Career Transition Programmes. 

All unused credit from this additional SkillsFuture Credit will expire on 31 December 2025. 

Only self-sponsored Singaporean applicants can use this credit and application must be submitted via SkillsFuture Portal within 60 days from the course commencement date. 


SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy supports and encourages lifelong learning and helps Singaporeans stay responsive to a changing workplace. Recognising that mid-career individuals may face greater challenges in undertaking training, the Government has implemented this programme to encourage mid-career Singaporeans to upskill and reskill. 


All Singaporeans aged 40 years old and above are eligible for this enhanced subsidy. They will receive higher subsidies of up to 90% of course fees for all WSQ courses at SEAS. 

Learners who are eligible are not required to submit an application for the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy. They will be accorded this enhanced subsidy when they submit enrolment for the WSQ course with their NRIC.

Enhanced Funding Support for SME 

Under the Enhanced Funding Support and Productivity Innovation Credit, your staff will acquire new skills through training, while your company will get to receive additional financial support. 

As an SME, you will receive:- 



SMEs will enjoy subsidies of 90% of the course fees when they sponsor their employees for WSQ courses at CET centres. 



SMEs can also claim absentee payroll funding of 80% of basic hourly salary at a cap of $7.50 per hour. 



Company’s annual sales turnover of not more than S$100 million OR employment size not more than 200 workers.


Participants who are not successful at achieving a competent outcome from the WSQ funded programs will be billed the full course fee. SEAS reserves the right to invoice the outstanding amount from participants who are not yet competent at their assessment.
