The Market Development Committee (MDC) within SEAS has the objective to “enable Singapore based Sustainable Energy companies to successfully grow their business and increase sales.” The MDC actively work towards this objective through:

·         Developing Market Opportunity Research

·         Becoming the one source for all related Market Development opportunities and related information

·         Enabling the potential creation of Distribution, Joint Venture and Partnership

·         Creating relationships with similar organizations

We are focused in three related areas: Incoming Opportunities, Singapore Opportunities and Outgoing Opportunities.

With respect to the Incoming Opportunities we support initiatives which will potentially increase the portfolio of products and services offered by our members. The objective is to create an environment supportive for the creations of partnerships, joint-ventures and distribution agreements. We maintain a database about potential opportunities and organize events with foreign organizations promoting Sustainable Energy solutions in Singapore and in the region.

Singapore Opportunities are to generate more sales for our members. MDC is working closely with members and with Singapore government institutions actively seeking opportunities for sales and pilot installations. Additionally we work closely with universities and research organizations with the objective to bring innovative and high potential developments into the market.

Through the generation of Market Opportunity reports and through actively engaging in Trade-missions outside Singapore the MDC enables our members to promote their products and services out-side the Singapore market. We have organized trade-missions to China, Europe and to various countries in Southeast Asia.
