Clean Energy
Clean Energy committee comprises of all the members in the area of Solar PV, solar thermal, wind, biomass and biodiesel. The committee meets once in two months to discus broad policy, technology, training, market development related issues in the area of clean energy. For more specific sector related issues working groups have been formed for solar & biodiesel. As the number of members in a certain area increases they are encouraged to form a working group which eventually feeds back to the main CE committee. CE committee also works closely with the government agencies to give feedback on new policies & grants.

Solar Working Group
The Singapore government has identified solar PV as a strategic growth sector, encompassing manufacturing, R&D and system integration. Besides the manufacture and supply of PV modules, there are opportunities for businesses all along the value change such as invertors, switch gear, protective devices, cables, structures, training, education and consultancy.The solar working group aims to:
Establish SEAS PV training courses that go beyond what BCA, NEA and others are already offering
Work with government agencies to establish recognised accreditation for PV contractors
Work with EMA, BCA, EDB to streamline project approval and procedures
Channel the industry's concern's to government agencies for effective policies that promote the PV industry here and abroad
Provide relevant market-based feedback to SERIS, A*Star and others to increase the relevance of their R&D for tropical applications

Biodiesel Working Group
SEAS Biodiesel working group was formed on 12th March,2009.
The Objectives for the Biodiesel Working Group are as follows:
Be a voice of the local BioDiesel producers and supporting community
Putting Singapore on the path towards B20
Propose future Fuel standards for Singapore
Market research related to the Singapore market
